They weigh 22 pounds. The chrome option is sleek and would suit any kitchen. The Jura S8 also comes in moonlight Silver, and you can buy the Jura E8 in Piano Black too. Coffee Options
It’s not just the quality of the coffee that will surprise you. There is an amazing number of brew types to suit your mood. You can set both automatic coffee machines to make 1-, 2-, 5-, and 8-ounce coffees. On top of that, there are options to make macchiatos, café lattes, flat whites, cappuccinos, and latte macchiatos. Non-coffee options are portions of milk, milk foam, hot water for green and herbal teas, and hot water for other types of tea.
Instead of the separate hot water and milk foam portions, there are 4 alternative coffee types with the Jura E8. You can brew caffe baristas, lungo baristas, espresso doppio, and cortados.
Burr Type
A quality burr is essential for the consistency of the bean grind and the quality of the coffee. The Jura S8 and the Jura E8 have conical burrs, to cone-shaped plates that sit on top of each other to grind the beans. The Jura E8 has a superior burr, a six-level professional Aroma G3 grinder.
Programming
It’s all well and good having a coffee machine that does it all, but it also has to be simple to use. As automatic coffee machines, there is little for you to do. Once the water and bean tanks are full, you can program the Jura S8 and the Jura E8 for the coffee strength and volume you want. On the front of the coffee machines, there is a color touchscreen display but again, the Jura E8 is slightly more advanced with a TFT display, faster and brighter.
Technology
Jura is famous for its Pulse Extraction Process which brews coffee quickly. Both the Jura S8 and the Jura E8 come with this technology. The Jura E8 comes with 3D brewing to keep the extraction more even. For better foam, this automatic coffee machine has Fine Foam Technology.
Spout Design
There are dual spouts on the Jura S8 and the Jura E8 so you can make single or double coffees. Furthermore, the spouts are height adjustable to fit different cup sizes on the drip tray.

A light, fluffy foam makes all the difference with speciality coffees. The coffee machines have professional Fine FrotherG2 milk foamers. All you have to do is turn the dial for hot milk or light, long-lasting foam. The Jura S8 has animated instructions for added guidance.
Maintenance
Coffee machines need regular maintenance to keep all the parts functioning well and of course clean. When machines aren’t maintained, the quality of the coffee can start to deteriorate, not to mention the lifespan of the machine. The Jura S8 and the Jura E8 have integrated maintenance cycles to make life easier and coffee perfect.
Warranty
It’s true that the Jura S8 and the Jura E8 are decent investments however in the long run, they do save you a lot of money, not to mention better quality coffee. The Jura S8 has a 2-year limited warranty. There is no information on the warranty for the Jura E8.
In Conclusion
The Jura S8 and the Jura E8 are stunning coffee machines in all available colors. They are a nice size to fit on the kitchen counter and the water and coffee bean tanks are easy to access. In terms of ease of use, they are very much automatic coffee machines. Although you have dozens of options, once you find your regular favorite, it’s a cause of pressing a couple of buttons.
The machines are relatively quiet for coffee machines that grind fresh beans. If you prefer decaf, you can also use ground coffee in the machine. You can’t beat the quality of the coffee. It’s full in flavor and your kitchen will smell like you have walked into an Italian coffee shop.
If we had to choose one over the other, the Jura E8 has the edge over the Jura S8. It has a few more coffee options and better technology. That being said, you would have to be a real coffee expert to notice that much of a difference.
